Remco de Jonge – Fine Art Portrait Photographer
My name is Remco de Jonge. Born in 1975 in The Hague, I grew up with a passion for craftsmanship and artistry. My career began as a carpenter, and later I found my way into the hospitality industry as a fast-food specialist. But life led me down a different path, and since 2012, I have been working in the funeral industry—a profession where humanity and meaningful moments take center stage.
Yet, there was always that one passion: photography. What started as an interest grew into a true art form in which I could completely lose myself. I obtained certificates in "Indoor and Outdoor Lighting Photography" and "Professional Photography" and completed a masterclass in wedding photography. For years, I captured various moments—portraits, celebrations, weddings, and even funerals. But alongside my work in the funeral industry, it became increasingly difficult to balance everything.
That’s why I made a conscious choice: my heart lies in Fine Art Portrait Photography. No standard portraits with forced smiles or static poses, but artistic images that reveal the essence of a person. I strive for portraits that tell a story, evoke emotions, and show who someone truly is—whether through a pose, an expression, or a hobby. Of course, I am open to my clients’ wishes, but my focus is on creating unique, timeless artworks.
I live in the beautiful town of Naaldwijk, Holland, and I am the proud father of three sons. I also have a wonderful girlfriend, the mother of my youngest son, who supports me in everything. Here, amidst the hustle and bustle of life, I find the peace and inspiration to pursue my passion and capture people in a unique way.
Beyond my love for my family and photography, I have a deep affection for Italy—especially Lake Garda. The contrast between mountains, nature, and water fascinates me, and in the summer, I fully enjoy the sunshine. My favorite drink? Coffee. Preferably during a good conversation, where stories come to life and inspiration flows.
Are you looking for a unique portrait that highlights your personality, passion, or story? Feel free to contact me. I look forward to creating something beautiful together.
Fine Art Photography is not just a picture. It is a work of art. A story. An experience.
